Amazon CloudWatch contains a variety of useful services that help you monitor application logs and metrics, and trigger automated workflows based off of account-level events, cron schedules, or custom application events. Using the AWS Tools for PowerShell, you can send custom application events into the Amazon CloudWatch Events service. Once you've sent these events to the service, you can subscribe to them using a CloudWatch Event Rule, and trigger automated, cloud-based workflows. In this video, we'll take a brief look at how you can send custom events to Amazon CloudWatch, using the AWS Tools for PowerShell.
