Auto Scaling for Amazon DynamoDB

Learn more about Amazon DynamoDB at http://amzn.to/2q94vhJ. Starting today, when you create a new DynamoDB table, it is enabled for Auto Scaling, which automatically scales read and write throughput capacity with dynamically changing request volumes. Until now, DynamoDB read and write throughput had to be provisioned manually based on anticipated application demands, which could result in under provisioning or over provisioning of capacity. Under provisioning could slow down application performance, and over provisioning could result in underutilized resources and higher costs. With Auto Scaling, you simply set the desired throughput utilization target, and minimum and maximum limits, and Auto Scaling takes care of the rest.
